3 Top Camping Destinations in Florida

#1. Lake Kissimmee State Park

14248 Camp Mack Rd, Lake Wales, FL 33898 |  (863) 696-1112

What a beautiful campground! The RV park is the perfect set up to not only enjoy evenings by the firepit, but you’ll be able to enjoy the daylight hours as well by adventuring deeper into the park.

You won’t have to venture far to enjoy the wildlife! Whether you love hiking, biking, or fishing, it’s an amazing place to explore. When hiking, you’ll have the chance to see the amazing wild turkeys that live in the state park, along with many other animals that build there homes there. If you’re more interested in fishing than hiking, enjoy your time on the water with the famous bass fishing they have there!

#2. Florida Caverns State Park

3345 Caverns Rd. Marianna FL 32446 | (850) 482-1228

This state park is definitely unique to Florida’s other parks and campgrounds. If you’re looking to stay busy and be amazed, then their park is the perfect place to RV at!

They do have hiking, biking, and boating options as well, but this state park is supremely interesting because of their caverns. We suggest you plan a visit and go see these beautiful Florida wonders! Along with this great adventure of guided tours through the caverns, there are a plethora of other options to choose from when RVing at this park.

If you love picnicking, this is a great park for that as there are a total of six designated areas for tables and grills that allow you to picnic in the area. Of course, you may want to eat at your RV, but this gives you a chance to get off the campground and enjoy wildlife! Along with swimming, they have canoe rentals that will allow you to create fun memories with family through Florida waters.

As you can see, there is plenty to do to at this great state park, which is why we highly recommend RVing here.

#3. Fort Pickens Campground

1400 Fort Pickens Road Pensacola Beach  FL  32561 | (850) 934-2621

How could we have a top favorite destination list without at least ONE campground right on the beach?! Fort Pickens is a beautiful RV park that allows you to take leisurely walks on the white sands of Santa Rosa Island. Talk about beautiful and relaxing.

If you’re searching for a place to settle down and enjoy the view for the weekend, you’ll find this to be the perfect place RV. Enjoy the ocean waters all day long, whether swimming or snorkeling or floating with your favorite floatie.
