Do you know where your favorite celebrities live? You may be surprised to find out that they aren’t all in L.A. and New York. In fact, a lot of celebrities have gorgeous homes all over the country. Because of the beautiful views and extra space, a number of celebs make Sarasota, Florida their home.

Rosie O’Donnell

Rosie O’Donnell got a great deal and an amazing house in Sarasota. Her gorgeous beach front home cost her about $5 million. This home offers Rosie and her family 4,647 square feet. Included in the home are four bedrooms and seven bathrooms. On top of this, the house is full of lavish luxury designs. The floor plan is open and includes French oak floors, custom built cabinets and tongue and groove ceilings. While the house was the biggest sale in the area in 2013 when Rosie bought it, she got a great deal after selling her previous beach house for $16.5 million.

Stephen King

Whether you’ve read his horror stories, or watched the films based on them, there’s no denying that Stephen King has a way with words. He and his wife purchased a home in the Sarasota, FL area in 2001, for $8.9 million. At the time they purchased the house, it was the most ever paid for a home in the area. The home is 7,500 square feet on 3 acres. The home is made of glass and concrete, with a copper roof. The secluded area of the home is perfect for the well-known author.

Jerry Springer

Jerry Springer is known best for his television talk show, “The Jerry Springer Show.” However, the television star was also once a mayor of Cincinnati. Today he makes his home in Sarasota. The home features four bedrooms and five bathrooms. It is worth over $2 million and has 6,019 square feet of space. The home is right on the water and even includes a dock, so the tabloid TV personality can easily head out on the open water. Unlike many of the other celebrities in the area, Jerry Springer’s house is not secluded but instead in a neighborhood with other large, beautiful homes.

Brian Johnson

The lead singer for AC/DC also makes Sarasota his home. The home is right on the water, making it easy to go for a fishing trip or just take a dip. The house is 4,271 square feet. In addition, the home has an open porch, tennis court, utility building, and pool. The dock allows Brian and his family to keep a boat at the house, as well. The brick face exterior is stylish. While Brian lives in a large neighborhood, he has all the privacy he needs.

Celebrities are all around us. You don’t have to look far to find someone you recognize. However, even the rich and famous want to be left alone at times. Because of this, many stars find homes in smaller areas where they can interact with the rest of the locals, without being harassed everywhere they go.
