Spring Camping Recipe: Grilled Lemon and Garlic Salmon

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 salmon fillets


  1. Thoroughly clean the grill grate and build a strong fire.
  2. Wash and dry all produce.
  3. Mince garlic and rosemary. Zest and quarter the lemon.
  4. Combine the garlic, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and rosemary in a small bowl.
  5. Rub the marinade over the fillets and allow to soak in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  6. Soak a paper towel in vegetable oil or canola oil and use a set of tongs to coat the grill grate to prevent sticking.
  7. Add the salmon, skin side up, to the grill and cook for 6 minutes. Turn and grill for another 4-6 minutes until the internal temperature is 145F or the fillet begins to flake easily.
